Direct & Indirect Reporting/Interactions: Based on CI Staffing model, directly responsible for Black belt, lean/Company personnel.
Indirectly responsible to supervise Green Belts.
Direct interaction & Coordination with Plant Manager and all levels of the plant organization to execute Plant goals
Direct Interaction & Coordination with CI BU Director & Master Black Belt
   
Framework: Working under the framework of the Company's Manufacturing System and Continuous Improvement system, will assess current state performance, identify gaps, visualize and establish a plan to get to the future state, monitor progress and share/acquire best-in-class ideas and systems
   
Key Activities: 1. Identify gaps in Best Business Practice Metrics (BBP’s), and then work with all levels of the plant in establishing and executing a strategy for improving them
2. Assess the Current state of the plant’s Operations; Develop Future State vision and drive and monitor the implementation plan.
3. Coaches CI team & Plant Staff  to apply correct approach / DMAIC tools for improvement.
4. Establishes C.I. Profit Plan and subsequent Forecast goals; Drives team to achieve process improvements, BBP gap closure.
 5. Ensures Process Owner involvement in SOW development and team leadership.
 6. Responsible for IDP and succession planning for CI team.
7. Co- Responsible with Plant Manager for driving and tracking JCMS.
8. Responsible for developing a “pull” system to replace BBs and LIs with qualified “management-potential” personnel.
9. Using standard tracking and reporting systems to prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality, and savings goals.
10. Collaborate with leadership driving the team to develop a plant C.I. Roadmap, driving breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance that balances resources between internal plant efficiency and external customer-focused effectiveness projects through mainly  Six Sigma projects, Kepner Tregoe, Lean Implementation projects, and Just do It projects.
11. Assists Process Owners in identifying barriers to project success and helps to drive changes when needed.
12. Document improvement process learning, sharing plant's best business practices and implementing selected BBP workstreams.
   
Job Qualifications Engineering , Manufacturing or similar  degree
Six Sigma - Black Belt or Green Belt Certification (preferred)
Manager Experience
