Supervisor:    VP of HR        
Salary Range: $95k - $110k
Qualification Requirements:
College degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be familiar with the employment laws and regulations (i.e. OSHA, EEOC, etc.).  Must be computer literate and be familiar with software programs such as Excel, Word, etc.

Basic Functions:
Plans and carries out policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activity by performing the following duties

•    Oversees the daily management and operations of the office, including acting as liaison with the building management, maintaining the programming of the telephone system, and oversight of front desk procedures and coverage.
•    Plans and conducts new employee orientation to promote positive attitude toward company goals.
•    Keeps records of insurance coverage, pension plan, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, and performance reviews.
•    Directs the workers’ compensation, medical and safety programs of the plants.
•    Investigates accidents and prepare reports for insurance carrier.
•    Conducts wage survey within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
•    Prepares budget for human resources operations.
•    Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.  
•    Leads the plan morale initiatives.
•    Directs the development of activities, which may include sports programs, educational programs, company picnics, open house, and other activities designed to give t3eam members a favorable image of their company and local management.
•    Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
•    Help organize company policies and submit to upper management for approval.
•    Maintains and updates job descriptions and employee handbook.
•    Becomes active in the community and public activities and represent the company in many of these activities.
•    Update training matrix and production team members’ files in compliance with ISO.
•    Works with the benefits broker in maintaining a comprehensive benefits package, making improvements where appropriate and keeping management and staff informed of any changes.
•    Conducts employee recruitment, including advertising of positions, screening of resumes, and setting up and participating in interviews.
•    Maintains a working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
•    Is available to all staff to advise and aid as necessary with personnel benefits.

Scope of Authority:
Has the authority to stop production if defective or unsafe parts or condition appear.  Has the authority to reject non-conforming material from the supplier.  Is empowered to prevent non-conforming material from reaching the customer.
