 Materials Supervisor/Supply Chain Management Scheduler
Salary: $73,600
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of all production material into the plant, ensuring that the finished product will be produced and shipped in accordance to the customer’s requirements while incorporating the BOS Quality Policy.

Specific Duties
Supervise the maintenance of current purchase order information in the SAP/QAD system.
Monitor Production Purchases activity for accuracy and content.
Ensure the Material Coordinators perform a timely analysis on Customer and Supplier releases, monitoring fluctuations and variances from the previous weeks’ releases.
When necessary, communicate with the customer regarding product release information, cum reconciliation and resolve all problems as they occur.
Analyze Safety Stocks and monitor according to releases.
Prepares and submits any obsolescence claims due to model year changes or engineering changes.
Provide materials measurable reports as required.
Assist with physical inventories as required.
Supervise hourly material handlers including job definition, attendance, and time keeping records while complying with GM/UAW contract provisions.
Document and monitor Premium Freight, file claims, cross charge, charge backs and adjustments.
Manage monthly Cycle Counting Program, perform floor audits, authorize and document adjustment, perform root cause analysis and put permanent corrective actions in place to keep inventory accurate.
Develop materials related procedures and write Work Instructions.  Identify BOS procedures relating to materials functions and assure compliance to all aspects.
Monitor and document vendors delivery performance.  Track excess labor due to vendor / carrier performance and process charge back.
Coordinate material for special builds like PPAP, PAA, PTR etc.
Customer contact / communication for schedule changes and other issues.
As required, enter in to the SAP/QAD system all Bill of Materials (BOM).  Ensure the accuracy and content of data is 100% correct.
 Process the effective dates of Engineering changes in a timely manner, maintaining the required documentation for the change.
Maintain Materials files and record retention.
Responsible for all activities regarding service parts.  Maintain GM Service rating.
When required, back up the Materials Coordinator responsibilities.
Assists in managing and maintaining the 5S Program for all departmental activities.
Other miscellaneous duties or projects as assigned by the Materials Manager.
Education Required
College degree, APICS Certified, or equivalent experience.

Experience Required
One (1) to three (3) years experience in materials management.
