This position will report to the Quality Manager
3.1      Define the Quality Objectives Roadmap and obtain Quality mgr approval of targets.  Lead a cross-functional team to ensure that the quality objectives are met.
3.2      Execute the elements of Advanced Quality Planning including the following elements: Supplier Day                        meeting, Supplier Process Sign off /Readiness review and approval of Supplier PPAP.
3.3        Develop the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program(s). Responsible to ensure that Gage studies are conducted on all gaging used on the program and that appropriate corrective actions are taken to improve Gage R&R where data indicates.
3.4        Responsible for implementation of the Manufacturing Quality Systems for pre-production, and production builds as defined in BOS and/or specified on the Product Control Plan. 
3.5        Perform capability studies and document the results for all program characteristics, and ensure that Customer and internal requirements are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained).
3.6        Responsible for the color/appearance approval process for PPAP, including proper Customer submission paperwork, by either performing the required activities directly or coordinating the completion of these activities, update boundary samples and appearance manual.
3.7        Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on-time delivery of PPAP packages for submission and approval by the Customer.
3.8        Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on time delivery of supplier quality deliverables including: Control Plans, Capability Plans, Capability Studies, Part layouts, Gage design, Gage R&R, PFMEA, DFMEA (if applicable).
3.9      Utilize all applicable Customer-specific systems (e.g. GM PRR, etc).
3.10    Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized for the Product and Process and deployed into the Control Plan.
3.11    Responsible for completion of all other Customer-specific Quality requirements.
3.12    Ensure that Customer, internally identified, and supplier quality issues are resolved using the COMPANY problem solving method unless a different process is specified by the customer.
3.13    Develop appropriate inspection plans and containment plans.
3.14    Responsible to conduct capability studies, and ensure that they are properly performed and documented for product changes affecting special characteristics, and that Customer and internal requirements are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained). Maintain the information or database if available up to date.
3.15    Assist with the training of Quality Technicians and Auditors to perform properly their duties.
3.16    Promote Safety to all team members, Customers and Suppliers.
3.17    Perform job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure preservation of the Company Quality Policy.
3.18    Support the comprehensive continuous improvement philosophy for all COMPANY disciplines.

Education and/or Experience:
4.1.1   A Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred in a technical area, equivalent experience considered.
4.1.2   Specific education and training in Quality disciplines is recommended, including (minimum):
 ISO/TS16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans,  DOE and SPC
